History

April 1, 1965

Three junior high schools−Kokufu, Yashiro and Hidaka were unified to become Hidaka Higashi junior high school.

April 8, 1968

The opening ceremony and the entrance ceremony were held in the new gymnasium.

February 18, 1969

The school song was debuted And the erection ceremony for‘The Statue of Love−Ai no Zo’was held.

July 22, 1970

The swimming pool was completed.

September 26, 1970

The courtyard between building A and B was completed.

March 31, 1980

Exterior work of building's A, B and C was completed.

September 1, 1987

The school precept of‘Independence, Friendship, Volunteering ’was enacted.

December, 1989

The club house was completed.

September, 1991

The computer room was completed.

July 28 1992〜

A friendship mission was dispatched to Yugi junior high school in Pehai, China for the first time.

July 13, 1993

A mission from Pehai came to Hidaka.

November 1998

The first ‘Toraiyaru Week− one week experience study’was carried out.

July , 2010 Seismic reinforcement work(Building B and C was completed.
              Building A is a construction in fiscal year 2013.)

 

The Outline

The students come from four elementary schools ― Hidaka, Seisyu, Kokufu and Yashiro. 184 boys and 184 girls are at Hidaka Higashi Junior High School as of April 2, 2003 . The Globally famous adventurer, Uemura Naomi, who climbed Mt. Everest by himself for the first time in the world graduated from this school. ‘Independence, Friendship and Volunteering’―this is the school precept.
Having these, students are studying hard and doing the club activities eagerly every day. Our school has many club activities, for example, baseball, tennis, softball, basketball, volleyball, Kendo and so on.
